I've been messing around with support playing Braum. It's fun but I keep accidentally getting kills... Also I never remember any of the actives on items I buy. Awkward.

I tried him. I was super good at attack syncing to hand out last hits, backing off to give the ADC the kill. I was okay with his abilities, but he really needs smart casting. Like really.

I also suck with using actives. Doesn't matter what I'm playing.

Ekann1

Smartcasting is so much easier. I started using it a little while ago and don't know how I used to play with anything else! :P

I can see how he'd be pretty impossible without smartcasting.

Also learn to play with your camra semi or fully unlocked. It really helps with being aware of your surrounding

I cannot stand running mine locked. I don't know how people do it.

gtfotis

I play unlocked, you can hold space to lock the camera until you release it

LinkCelestrial

I play semi unlocked. I've died a few times getting used to it.

A good thing to do is try and find at least one person per role (top, jungle, mid, adc, support) you can play. As you get to 30/ranked some people start getting trolly if they don't get the role they want cause it is the only one they can play and being able to back off and fill the role needed is good.

Also learning to play each role helps to to know how the enemy will act. Mid lane just recalled but the enemy dissappeared? Expect a gank. Enemy jungler falling behind? Probably gonna spend some time farming.

This, and make sure you work with your team. I have had a hard time adapting my brain to this game. A lot of us have trained ourselves to get kills (battlefield, call of duty, quake, what ever it may be). But your personal kills simply do not matter for a second. It is 100% about whether your team wins the match or not. Do what need to happen for your team to win the match. Going 20/20/0 is not a good game, because you gave up 16 deaths worth of gold. 0/0/20 can actually be a better game. #1 goal should simply be, don't die. #2 is don't let your team mates die, #3 destroy the nexus. If you get kills in the process, than sweet.

0/0/20 is godlike and it's way better than 20/20/0, no questions asked.

See that's completely my point, but most of the "popular" mainstream games 20/20 is going to be mid pack. It's a huge swing of your mental game. The idea that you can help your team win in a big way by simply not dying. It just took me a bit to change my mind set (which I still struggle with), I would assume that others have gone through the same thing. But I could be wrong.
