Ok this threads for Prices

So guys back on topic with Standard about to get DTK think any cards are bound for spikes or drops? I feel like Stormbreath might increase

I want to know where the modern staples ({Ashiok}, {Brimaz}, etc) are going after rotation

I'd venture to say that neither {Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver} nor {Brimaz, King of Oreskos} are "staples" of Modern. They're modem playable, and Ashiok is gaining steam in a pet deck, but they aren't played in the majority of the mets game, so I'd expect Brimaz to fall significantly. Maybe a bit higher than something like {Sphinx's Revelation} due to it being a small not very popular set

Interesting article on CFB by Frank Karsten. Number crunching says 26 3 mana or less creatures. Don't even think Gw devotion Mastery deck is attaining that number right now.

That's quite a lot indeed. GW devotion/bolster could be a thing though? Or not?

In the longer term, this will be slightly less powerful, though in the right deck it can be pretty much {in garruk's wake}. It will rotate with M15 & KTK, with the release of Origins, am I right? Or only in October, with Zendikar?
That limited time in standard (compared to the usual time it takes a block to phase out) might hurt prices too.

M15 rotates with Theros block, does it not?

You are absolutely right. Theros rotates with Origins, like M15. With the release Zendikar (October) rotates KTK and FRF. Still, feels like FRF cards have quite the shorter standard time..

No, Theros, Born of the Gods, Journey into Nyx, and M15 rotate when Return to Zendikar comes out. Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged don't rotate until the block after Return to Zendikar (probably January 2016)

Khans will rotate out with fate in the spring of 2016.   Think of it this way.. The time frames will be the same as they are now.  New blocks start fall and spring.

Origins release.  Nothing happens

Fall 2015
Battle for zendikar release   Theros block/m15 rotate out

Winter 2016
2nd set from bfz release. "Sweat"   Nothing happens

Spring 2016 "April "
new block "Tears".  Khans/fate rotate out.   

Summer 2016 "July"
2nd set from tears block "fears"  nothing happens

New block "lock".  Dragons/origins rotate out.

Winter 2017 February

Thing was, that the shorter time span a card would be viable in standard would affect prices. That's where my theory started anyway. Turns out now it was all a bit more complicated.. Back to the prices, let's assume I never said anything....
