I have 17 {Ugin's Nexus} and counting ready for when that happens. People gonna be all "Lets put a Nexus under {Ensoul Artifact}, then {Shrapnel Blast} your ass into oblivion!" Yeeaah.

Pretty sure people tried that already.

I did. and it was good. For a while.

Define good, please. You had succes with it locally or it had success on a grand scale?

My Ensoul Blast deck was a force to be reckoned with pre/early Khans block. The meta was slower and there were less answers and controlly decks. The problem with {Ensoul Artifact} decks is a lack of overall support to let it go from the early game to dropping {Scuttling Doom Engine}.

I played anyone that wanted to between games or after they were knocked out at a tournament. I went 6-1 vs forces like Rabblemaster Red, the devotion decks of the time and U/W heroic. A T4 kill hand is powerful. Dropping an {Ensoul Artifact} on an {Ornithopter} and haveing a {Shrapnel Blast} in hand to finish the job is strong. The problem is and was that there isn't support. {Renowned Weaponsmith} is hardly enough. We either need more low and wide creatures, more value targets for {Ensoul Artifact}, more midrange creatures that aren't {Juggernaut} and viable backup plans.

I define success as having a deck that could hash it out with the power decks of the time. It was just too glass cannon and didn't receive support to keep it in the same teir as decks like Greeb Devotion and new threats like U/B control. (Though they have a nasty time with an ensouled {Darksteel Citadel})

I actually cut {Ugin's Nexus} after play testing with it for a while. It was very mediocre.

I am working on an {Ensoul Artifact} deck utilizing {Ghostfire Blade} and {Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas} for modern. The problem is it's not going to be better than affinity though I think it'll be cheaper.

So you mean it was good in your local meta. Ok. Just wait until people start playing around it because it top 8s and then you'll know if it's good. If it's just a rogue deck that no one is playing around, it's hard to say it's good.

LinkCelestrial

It's not going to be top 8ing unless somebody plays it and draws nothing but T4 kill hands. It's just not good enough thanks to the firepower Khans gave everyone else.

MM {tarmogoyf} is already down to just $200, and MM2 hasn't even hit the shelves...

People are opening their mm1 boxes and unloading stock. But if modern and Lego decks need tarm still to be t1....a $9 drop for average isn't that much

I'm guessing these will be reprinted in mm2. No base for this but they need lands in it and those are prime to be reprinted.

Those or the man lands. {Celestial Colonnade} cycle and maybe the {Faerie Conclave} cycle at uncommon?

The sad part is if they actually made MM2 with temples, shocks, man lands, odd lands, and buddy lands in the rare slot nd nothing else.. I'd still buy it.
How would that be drafted?
.
Side note why did foil kaalia jump so much?
