I think that card is hyped.  I don't think it is that great.  Sure it can copy PW but it would not really be a great move to copy your PW and what is to say you will have an opportunity to copy your opponents PW and if you do....will that PW really help your deck?

Pretty much any planeswalker in Standard is good to copy - but it's not just for PWs. The only problem it has is that it's essentially only useful when you're behind on board state, which is a place no one (obviously) wants to be.

I am just using PW as an example of what to copy since that is what is creating the hype on him IMO.  Also, if someone is casting Garruk in competitive play then you are doing something wrong to begin with.  But I agree that impersonator is a card that is best when you are behind.  Maybe you have a decent target on your own board but chances are for four mana you could probably be doing other things that help.  IDK, I'm just not sold on this guy.

It is a very good card

No doubt it is superb for EDH.  That is the only reason I am saving the one copy I have.

I didn't think the card was that good until I played it. {Ashcloud Phoenix} is awesome. I don't think it's going to be super expensive but I do think $8-10 is reasonable as long as there's a semi-competitive deck that runs them.

i think it will be quite tough with {magma spray} in so many sideboards and {anger of the gods} in so many mainboards.

I think {Clever Impersonator} is destined to remain high in foil. For EDH it's basically the {Sol Ring} of Clones. There are few reasons not to play it, if you're running a clone. It was printed at Mythic also. I've been wrong in the past, and Khans is going to be opened a TON over this year - $30 is a steal if you ask me.
