To the basic magic player it's a card hard to read and understand. To the collector who likes russian, he values it like English, to the japanese geek, add 15-20% in trade value and $5-10 more in cash value.

I like foreign cards but often They are offered at really high prices that make no sense other than someone knowing you want an item from them (unless a foil!)

So a guy locally here wants 900$ for Russian foil ktk {flooded strand} and 150$ for jap foil {sorin, solemn visitor}

Is this guy nuts or am I?

Well as I set to go pickup my russian box...what would I sell a foil polluted delta for? Minimum that came to mind was $250

Kiora Russian foil I had; bought and sold the only one ive seem for purchase online. $135 after PayPal and eBay fees ($150 w/o)
Regular kiora foil is $35-40... So languages can bump certain cards up in value. Then being foil, makes em even more rare.

I wonder with sanctions pushed towards Russia: will we continue to have MTG printed in Russian? It's not such a far fetched idea.

Also dirty: if the guy is asking 900 for the delta, he really wants it, or wants to be able to get enough for it where he won't ever regret selling it

Can you pick mine up as well?

There was a foil Russian {Polluted Delta} on the high end facebook group for $900 (EDIT: apologies, it was a {Flooded Strand} at 900), don't know if it sold yet though. Someone also has a Russian foil {Flooded Strand} being offered 625 in trade.

Just adding some context, I think 250 is a steal, and would buy it from you myself at that price.

Quick search on eBay shows one for $200 and another for $240, that seems like a decent range to go off of.

Yeah I saw those prices, I just didn't know if they were as good as what the other guy was finding.

MuggyWuggy

Khans is definitely alot more expensive for the foreign boxes than the THS block...

gtfotis

Found out today that a shop I go to preorders foreign boxes for $120 each. 😍
