Idea: so {Garruk Wildspeaker} has been seeing play in Modern GBx decks a lot recently and GBx has been gaining in popularity. I wonder if they will start running {Nissa, Worldwaker}. Modern really doesn't run many sweepers besides {Anger of the Gods} and her ramp is better than Garruk's with shockland/fetchland manabase, especially if you have {Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth}.

6 mana seems kinda heavy though.

5 mana is a lot to get crypticed though.  The general barrier in modern is 4/5 (as seen in {splinter twin} vs {Kiki-jiki, mirror breaker} for example). If it sticks then it can really help with ramp though.  Players tap out a lot in modern so I don't think the 4/4 plus will be activated that often though.

And keep in mind that her ult is basic lands.  Most decks only run like 6 basics most.  She'll mainly be used for her ramp ability if anything.  I believe most decks would prefer wild speaker, however, she might see a tiny bit of fringe play.

You don't use her for her ult. If she ults in Modern, your opponent is already dead.
