Sounds more like a reason not to net deck. Im looking at a budget ($50-$200) deck that shuts off most the meta. It's based on my plagues deck but doesnt run jace or ashiok since I would have to borrow those to play that list. One of my team mates asked if we could build that devotion deck and I basically said no because that list is super over hyped, likely to be short lived, and stands to lose 50-75% value in the next couple months. I draw this conclusion from the predelver zombie list that had {geralf's messenger} and {gravecrawler} pushing $20 till people realized tokens and delver both beat it and delver beat most everything.

New standard, new prices. If I had to give advice to Magic players who play standard, it would be this: if you already have a deck that you like, don't trade for anymore cards for new standard decks. Whenever you pull a chase rare like {Thassa, God of the Sea}, trade it for {Deathrite Shaman}s. Just get as many as you can. I think it is one of the best investments if you do that.

Shhhhh, I'm trying to invest in snapasters currently, then deathrites at rotation people are actually trying to hang onto old snappy though. I imagine the same will be true for deathrite
