He's big in Esper and 'Murica control for his draw ability

5/9 Turtle

{Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker}, {Nicol Bolas} links to the legendary creature which is at like $45. Nicol Bolas is too mana expensive and almost unplayable.

What do u all think is going to happen to {voice of resurgence}? I am honestly thinking of buy a play set from eBay.

Depends on what you need him for and how bad you need him. In like six months he might be down to about $25 and after he rotates he will hit like $5 just like Swagtusk. ({Thragtusk})

I don't think that's true at all. He's still being worked into modern decks and is a good g/w hatebears card. I always see up 10$+
With the exception of Hexproof Auras (and he is neither hexproof nor aura) Selesnya isn't played in Modern but yeah, he might always stay $10 or more.

Pod, yo.

True, but Pod already has a two drop: {Melira, Sylvok Outcast}. And Melira gives you a couple infinite combos so no one is going to take her out in favor of Voice

Coffee Vampire

Voice is in every single pod deck that hopes to be even remotely competitive. It lets pod players fetch 1 and 3 drops with on single card, and it's good even without a pod in play.

Even if its played in Pod, they only use one or two, a hundred players each using one or two Voices isn't enough to keep the card that high. May I remind you or two other Pod staples, {Melira, Sylvok Outcast} is at $2 and {Kitchen Finks} is at $5

Edit: the pod itself is only at $5

Keep in mind that those are all rates, voice is mythic, and that plays a huge role in prices.

But the Ravnica block is also the highest selling set in Magic history, so there are TONS of copies of this available. Plus we all know that $40 isn't a realistic price standard inflates prices by 4x or more as we have seen with {Thragtusk} and {Silverblade Paladin}. {Archangel of Thune} are in all the top Pod decks right now but that will still drop $15 when it rotates.

True on the first point, but those two are rares, again.  {Avacyn, Angel of Hope} sees no modern play and look at her price.

She just rotated and gets a lot of attention from casual and new players, but look at dozens of other mythics: {Urabrask the Hidden}, {Angelic Overseer}, {Abyssal Persecutor}, {Admonition Angel}, {Akroma's Memorial}... They are all around $3. Because {Voice of Resurgence} is Mythic and played in some decks in Modern, it will probably stay around $10-15, assuming Pod isn't banned but it is still going to drop to around $5-10 when the set rotates because of all the standard players trying to dump them.

There are already playsets of {Voice of Resurgence} on Ebay for $76 granted it will probably set around $90 so they will cost about $22.50 a piece.

On another subject...where to Shocklands end up after rotation? To make it easier: Where are they a month before rotation, where are they the day of, where are they two weeks after rotation and where are they a year after rotation?

rarehuntertay

I say the shocks will stabilize around $10 a piece, just like the original duals were at one point; unless wizards chooses to not reprint them. If that is the case, they will go up. If they print a cycle of duals with the same land types that are better, then they'll go. It's all speculation at this point, but I think they will go up. I feel that they scry lands will go up closer to rotation...
