I think $50 is a little on the high side but $20-35 or so is an extremely realistic price in the future.

As someone who is trying to get into eternal formats, I need them but I was on a hiatus during Innistrad block and don't have them. When is the best time to buy, just after rotation?

He's really one of the few cards that can be jammed into any deck that has 1 color (Blue) in multiple formats.
I'm guessing $50ish way down the road, possibly 5-6 years. But I feel like those that have him will never trade him and the ones that are wild will be picked up. He's an amazing card with a good effect. But I'd say $30ish is his immediate price.
99% of cards drop after rotation because Type 2 is most popular. I just don't think he'll go to insane prices mainly because right now blue isn't exactly top-teir in modern, Jund (or Ajundi) and Pods are dominating the format and everything blue gets to compete with that gets banned: {Ponder}, {Ancestral Vision}, {Preordain}, {Jace the Mind Sculptor}, {Mental Misstep}. To go further into all blue stuff {Time Walk}, {Force of Will}, ect...Blue gets all the ban hate.
May have accidentally negged this post. Tell me if this is so.

What do you guys think about cards like {Burning-Tree Emissary},  {Boros Reckoner} and other hybrid cards? Bc they count as devotion to both colours so do you think that they'll be played even more?

Almosteric

Speaking of devotion...  Pick up your  {Pack Rat}s now. Haha.  {Erebos, God of the Dead} loves pack rats.

Lol, I didn't notice that synergy with devotion :)

Good call! I was unsure at first but I checked the rules and you are correct, sir. "706.2. When copying an object, the copy acquires the copiable values of the original object's characteristics and, for an object on the stack, choices made when casting or activating it (mode, targets, the value of X, whether it was kicked, how it will affect multiple targets, and so on). The "copiable values" are the values derived from the text printed on the object (that text being name, mana cost, color indicator, card type, subtype, supertype, expansion symbol, rules text, power, toughness, and/or loyalty), as modified by other copy effects, by "as . . . enters the battlefield" and "as . . . is turned face up" abilities that set characteristics, and by abilities that caused the object to be face down. Other effects (including type-changing and text-changing effects), status, and counters are not copied."
