Price Jumps and Drops

What's with these jumps??

Rotation coming up and people building decks with old rare cards that win

So you think standard rotation is affecting  {Dream Halls} and  {Land Equilibrium}??

Any answers?

Those two cards are not spiking due to standard rotation.

Only thing that I can think of that could have affected {Dream Halls} is an increase in the popularity of SnT with omniscience that it is a part of in legacy.

{Land Equilibrium} just seems very odd, it's only used in EDH to my understanding, but it is a rare from legends, and that is an extremely old and small set (about the print run of Unlimited), there are a bunch of cards in the set that are even higher.

I don't play EDH, but that's the only format that I've heard it's been used in. Personally, I just think someone is trying to corner the market on the card, not super uncommon, especially for these very old and hard to find cards.

I believe dream halls was used in OmniTell rather recently, so it makes some sense that it would see a bit of a bump as a result of people trying out that deck. The spike of {Land Equilibrium} on the other hand seems very artfificial, since it essentially tripled in a matter of a day.

For years shrugged him off as a why bother trying to get 4 cause it would cost a lot of trade and for many people they couldnt even find them to trade for. Now people are popping a couple and trading more readily both to get them and part with them since they already have part if the set or still dont need or want them.

This is what Modern Masters did in a nutshell, {Tarmogoyf} was crazy expensive, but even if you walked into the LGS with a crispy 100 bill, you couldn't even buy one - no one had it. Price hasn't decreased, but the supply is actually available if you've got the money to spend.

Yes this is true, but my lgs is getting 9 more boxes before m14 drops. I'm getting an other box as well.😎😎

Modern. Two different pod decks run anywhere from 2-4 an it wasn't reprinted in mma. Although I also assume star city is buying them all or something

Yowza. Now I don't feel so bad for having to trade $15-18 for each of my chords in trades not long ago.

If only {Arid Mesa} and {Grove of the Burnwillows} would drop for no good reason, I might actually finish my modern deck

Both of those are only going to go up come the next modern ptq season, since neither have pending reprints.
