I pulled my second  {Voice of Resurgence} today. Is it really a $40 card?

Yes

It's because of the new legend rule. Make a bazillion mana, then do it again. Makes the card sky rocket in value...

Yeah, I'm sure this is the first of several jumps

Someone bought all the copies online after the rule announcement. Probably starcity. And here we are now. People need to just not buy cards when people artificially inflate the price like that. I get that the cards better now but double the price is absurd.

{Moat} has fluctuated a bit, but has been holding high for awhile now. Last year it was 200.

That's ridiculous.  I get it, he's good in standard right now, but jeez.  I wish I had pulled some just to dump 'em off right now.

They are likely to hold their value where they are. Once they rotate out of standard, after a while they might go back up a little bit. Shock lands will never stop being useful/seeing play, and are only worth as little as they are now due to the massive quantity of cards printed in the RTR block.

Exactly this, I think they are likely to dip at rotation but over time increase. They're great EDH and modern staples, so don't worry if the value drops when rtr block is out. Once this printing is done I can't see a reprint for a very long time.
