that would be a sure fire way to get at least 1 attack out of the devil. Because they wouldn't want to pay 4 a second time

Up or down? Notion theif I can definatly see going up because it can be used effectively in legacy as well as standard for a late sphinx's revelation or a brainstorm to set you in the lead. As for aetherling i think it's really good in control decks because it's nearly impossible to kill him and you can consistently swing for 8 unblockable with a form of vigilance, but for 6 mana (don't even want to cast it until you have at least 7 to protect him) I just can't see him seeing to much play for him to keep going up. What you guys think?

Both will go up considerably, everyone remember {worldfire}?  Well that and the {AEtherling} can be a lot of fun! I can see him going in a good RUG boardwipe deck.

{Notion Thief} will DEFINENTLY go up.  Think about it, {Jace the Mindsculptor}'s 0 ability is useless.  {Jace's Erasure}. Will go good with it, along with {Whispering Madness}, etc....

The possibilities are endless.

You could think of him as a smaller version of  {Bloodgift Demon} helping you out when your hand needs it the most. Possibly suiting a more aggressive deck. Rdw would love to have him. So might spash well for rakdos?

Basically because it stops anything, at anytime, for almost nothing. Any combo decks that want to start going off turn 1 are shut down, and there's really never a bad time to play it. Counter anything for 0 mana is pretty awesome.
