Is Ashiok Nightmare Weaver a boy or a girl?

Yet, with the reveal of the Aetherborn, it was a foresighted one. They use "they" as singular, being neither male nor female.
However, they are also short lived as I understand it.

But older walkers, before the mending(I think it was called that) where basically immortal right? We don't really know how long ashiok has been around. Do we?

Pre-Mending, walkers were basically immortal, ie Urza had his head chopped off and he was still alive. Once the Mending occurred, Jeska used some planeswalker "energy" to seal the rift, which diminished walkers powers greatly. Bolas is trying to regain all that power back. Perhaps that is why he unleashed the  Eldrazi Titans

That's what I needed confirmed, even pre-mending walkers are weaker, not just newly made ones.
