Read the Bones was reprinted in Origins. It's still Standard-legal. The difference is that Painful Truths can draw three cards.

Oops. Missed that. Still comparing the effects of a one-time printed rare vs a common that was printed in two sets + extra product.

And broski, it gets ONE MORE CARD, which is nice... despite that additional scry effectively giving you 4 card draw, but whatevs

It gets you one less card if you run it in mono-black... It only yields three cards if you cast it using three colors.

Their point is that going an extra 2 cards deep is better than the 1 extra card.  Card selection > Card Advantage, thus raising a question of why it's so spendy (i'm not sure you can call it spendy, but you get my point)

Question of supply, I'd think.

Everyone playing jeskai black and a lot of modern midrange players disagree. They're also right. Drawing a third card is a lot more relevant than people seem to think.

Its probably because of the shitty picture of HTML code saying it'll be unbanned and {Amulet of Vigor} and {Blood Moon} will be banned. Those pictures are almost certainly fake because a) the listed "effective from" date is wrong and b) anyone with a text editor could type that stuff up and replicate the pictures.
