As I said a gut feeling. Seems like a lot of plus one stuff and someone is gonna break it soon. And he's the easiest way to add them.

{Gavony Township} is generally better at White Mike's job. White Mike is generally a vanilla creature the turn he lands, and he's not efficient. He'll likely eat removal before you untap and get to use him for anything. Also, the deck that would most want him is Abzan Collected Company, and he does not interact well with Collected Company.

Township, on the other hand, is a land. It taps for colorless when you don't need it, and it does what Mike does when you do. Lands are much harder to kill than creatures, to boot, so it's more likely to stick around. Also, you can use it the turn it comes down.

I opened three in prize packs at the pre-release and the shop regulars were scoffing at my choice to go for packs instead of store credit, and then they laughed at my "junk" rares.

{Spoils of the Vault} spiked. Also, with enemy Painlands reprinted again, the enemy fetches seem more unlikely. BfZ will sell regardless IMO
