Resist is suppose to turn trample on its head. You can only use it when blocking. What would be an awnser to this besides the obvious removal?

A format containing this ability would likely be heavy in combat tricks. The flavor of pumping the attacker to overpower the blocker and the blocker recieving a boost to withstand the force and push back at the mage that ordered the attack would be pretty awesome. It would have all the pros of infect without all the BS counters associated with it. {Curiosity} effects would be a must!

Nice going, I love the mechanic. Maybe a better name than resist though? Something more like "retaliate"? Resist doesnt feel like it implies a counter strike (which would also be a fitting name, but might be too long for a mechanic name).

I'd use this. Although, I'd call it sphere of tranquility. Because its like the permanents with the counters on them can rest easy and stay calm

I named it influence because the art would depict Jenheral Petros and humanoid planeswalker comparable to nicol bolas on power level. Being in his "sphere of influence" will fundementally alter existance to fit his whims.
