Kaworu, the Fifth Child

I'm getting this game now. What's a good layout to start with when you first start? Lots of wide walls?

Wally

Device your walls into cells, so that one broken wall will not gain entry to your whole base.

You can leave some things outside the walls for most of the time.
A good one to put outside is the town hall. Once people destroy that you get a decent amount of shields that will protect your base for a time.

Get as many builders as you can, and upgrade your resources before your defense.

Yes, that would be a good start. Wally, we need you back in the clan, can you gain control over your own base somehow, please? ;)

But don't people get a good chunk of resources for knocking out your town hall?

Piotr

Not at all, unless you consider 1000 a good chunk, I consider it peanuts ;)

If you play moderately, your mines (elixir and gold) should be able to keep up with your builders while your newbie shield is up. Don't worry about attacking until that goes away. Once your past those 3 days, your storage should be enough that you won't notice 1000 gold/elixir

MuggyWuggy

Yeah just moved mine out and made another tower for my inner defense :)
