Realistically tho once the card is exiled it goes by converted mana cost... So you wouldnt even have to use white mana to cast the silence... So you could take a risk in a deck with 4 of each to put in very little white mana or even none and just hope to exile it instead

I have a standard deck I run this in. It WILL make people rage quit. Or if you put something like {Volcanic Geyser} under it. Hit em for even 2 before the end of their turn, each turn. Yea Elites are nasty!

You're misplaying elite arcanist. With volcanic geyser. The x cost is referring to the arcanist ability not the spell being copied.

Oh, I've never done it. I just thought because it had X in its cost you could essentially tap any amount of mana, but now that you pointed that out it makes sense.
