Foil {Preordain} went a little crazy.

{Ponder} Foil lowyrn version.

It's been 40-50 for a while, {Preordain} was 15 when I had last looked...
Sweet Jesus I think it's time to flip those preordains

What's the reasoning for Preordain spiking above Ponder? Ponder is usually played in multicolor Legacy decks before Preordain, no?

Only reason I can think of is a spike in Vintage interest. You need four Preordains in Vintage because Brainstorm and Ponder are restricted.

It's more that {Preordain} was only printed in foil once, while {Ponder} was foiled in 3 sets. The only deck that plays 4 of it in Legacy is Omnitell, but I'd guess this is more of a correction (should got back down a little once things calm down).

Vintage demand doesn't fuel foils that much, see {Mental Misstep}.

between your MM2015 print and the half of an expansion of colorless creatures your gonna get affordable real quick...

Yes maybe a Russian foil will be cheap.

{Ugin, the spirit dragon} Seems on a slow descent for quite some time now, when looking at median. Now 25-ish and 80 foil.

MuggyWuggy

Ugin will only go up from here imo

His lowest was around $20 a little before origins

T4 tron exile board seems good and eternally playable

While ugin is very good in tron I don't think that merits it only going up. Modern season is over so that will be a major factor in the modern prices. Ugin had a lot of its value from standard and if it stops seeing play it will fall.

I'm also basing the spec on how limited frf was opened in comparison to dtk and even origins

Remillo

He'll probably drop a little as he can't deal with Eldrazi easily.  Not sure how much Standard uses him, but it may ding the price a little bit.

Commander losing popularity

Where are you guys getting this? We have more Commander players at my LGS every week it seems. Did someone write an article?
Theyre probably speculating. Commanderp is one of the most popular formats.

-no- dragon edh losing popularity......
This. Particularly since we've been kinda oversaturated with dragons in DTK, the majority of which are boring and unplayable. (At the very least, the megamorph dragons are awful, and most of the Regents aren't very good with Scion.)

MuggyWuggy

Pretty much the only useful dragon from the dragons in std was silumgar the drifting death (for scion edh)

Most of the others require to attack or etb

Commander in my area has died down, spikes ruin it for newbies and now the regulars who play edh, they all have a win combo in their decks That assembles fast
