If you were to vote for a constitution of the planet Earth, which would be your choice? What rules should be included in it?

I would pick http://ultimatelaw.org obviously ;]

I always found the satanic rules rather interesting. I would be okay with them if the religion was not a part of it and it was just the rules.

The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth

Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
Do not harm little children.
Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

Shares a decent amount of your ultimate law Piotr.

Edit: this is by no means a poke at Piotr. I am more or less agreeing with him on what would make a good base for world law.

Piotr

One of the properties of Ultimate Law is that it is compatible with most religions.

Obviously not with Satanism as logic does not acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. Logic shows that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, so you should not use technology to do to others what they would not want to be done to themselves.

Seems legit, as in 'compatible with logic of Ultimate Law'.

Something I would like to see added would be the universal right of Men and Children.
Much of it is covered within Ultimate Law, yet some protection in addition to UL could well be in order. People being people and all.

Sadomachochist exist though. I have a friend who actually likes to be spanked. I wouldn't appreciate.

A better one would be: treat others how they wish to be treated.

Let's take this to the extreme. There is this performer who lets himself be suspended on his piercings. As I understood from the video he enjoyed this. (I'll see if I can find a source on this documentary).

According to your golden rule, it would be ok for him to staple other persons with steel rings and suspend them on a stage.

Well blimy, I suppose it's been too long since I've had my injection of Monty Python..

As to this friend of mine, he's a good friend of the family who just happens to have certain preferences. I don't judge, I just don't share in them. Just brought him into the discussion to have a valid example as to how two people can want different things, which I think should be respected.

Another far more extreme to this would be people who commit police assisted suicide. Aka firing a weapon of in public and wait for the cops to arrive, then opening(but not actually aiming to hurt) fire on the police who in return kill them.

Basically the person wants to die but wants someone else to kill them. Under the treat other logic, everyone else wants to die but not by their own hands, so the suicidal person should go out in public and start killing people because that is what they want someone else to do to them.

I know this is extreme but I feel it is a valid argument. And treating others how you want to treated is, IMO, contradictory to one of the fundament basis of our race. We are selfish creatures.

clearly we're going to have to make a rule for the crazies

You gonna be crazy (attempting to make sense of harmful action) well then we're gonna lock you up with taysby

Sorry taysby, you're out in the NWO

You gonna be crazy (attempting to make sense of harmful action) well then we're gonna lock you up (...)

It is not for the crazies to decide what we do not want to be done to ourselves. It is for us to decide what is not good for us, but we also need to make it clear to the crazies what will happen to them if they do not stop.

Ultimate Law acknowledges the existence of crazies (For me, crazies are people who like for example {Bernie Sanders} advocate evil and harmful actions as something leading to a greater good. I'm not sure if Taysby qualifies as one of the crazies, he seems to be a trusted trader in the Free Trading area?).

Unlike Socialism and similar systems based on false assumptions, nomocracy of Ultimate Law was designed as a practical tool to be used here and now with sentient neural networks as the subjects, with all their current flaws such as self preservation instinct (manifesting itself as greed according to some definitions).

It was also designed to solve the problems of Isaac Asimov's three laws of AI. It is not just for humans.
