Daily Combo 4: Brain Dump

Trying to keep the Standard combos coming, here's one that has been making some tournaments:

{Civilized Scholar} + {Phyrexian Metamorph}

Now there are two ways you could go with this, either insta-win with {Laboratory Maniac} or pile in the creatures that want to be in your dumpster, ({Skaab Ruinator}, I'm looking at you!)

For those of you scratching your head at this card pairing, allow me to explain.  If a creature that is not a DFC (double faced cards) would transform, it doesn't instead.  So, if you have {Phyrexian Metamorph} (or other creature copier) become a copy of Dr. Jekyll, then when you use the ability of the copy you will:

T: Draw a card, then discard a card. If a creature card is discarded this way, untap Civilized Scholar, then don't transform it.

That means, as long as you keep discarding creatures, you will keep untapping the copy.  If your deck has nothing but creature spells, then you can empty your library pretty quick, thus winning with the Maniac.  Just watch out for land clumps!

If dabbling in undeath, and leaving Standard (because, let's face it reanimation is pretty sad in Standard right now) is more your scene, then pitch a bunch of fatties and throw down a {Living Death}.
