Modern Masters 2015

So my father-in-law who doesnt play MTG, but is interested in the financial aspect of the game, bought 2 1/2 cases worth of this set...hes sold a case so far and is looking to sell more in the future. Well he decided to open up a box tonight to see what he would get that he would be able to sell.

I was out in the living room playing some LoL when he calls out to me asking if a foil {Tarmogoyf} was any good (I had no idea he was opening these up)..i said "what"?...he then goes on to say that it had a foil {Dark Confidant} in the same pack...I get up and walk out and sure enough he had those 2 in hand with a {Splinter Twin}, {Fulminator Mage} and a {Spellskite} on the table. He opened up an {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} and a {Mox Opal} in the same box with a few other $5-$10 cards lol...like how does that even happen haha

Yeah I didnt even know it was possible to get two foil mythics in a pack, but sure enough he did. He has the best luck when it comes to pulling great cards and he doesnt even play -_-

With MM having a foil in the land slot, there could be a second in the "normal" foil slot. That's some nice luck though. Financially the box got him to break even I recon.

Gotta record videos of packs being opened or at least snap a pic of it in pack for stuff like this to be believable

I didnt even know he was opening anything up until he asked. Like I said, he doesnt play at all...he figured he would buy a bunch pre-sale and sell them at a later point. I cant tell you how many times I asked him about that pack because like I said, Ive never seen any pack like that; but he isnt one to lie about what he got and how he got it...he only cares about making a profit on the items he has. I will say this though, he was only on pack 6 when this happened. He had pulled out all of the mythics/rares/foils and set them aside and it didnt add up like it shouldve....there was an extra foil there.

Ok you can always take a photo and post all the pulls. But I'm guessing he already "sold" all of it.

Now a few holes in the story. He buys boxes to save and sell later? Then he just randomly decides to open a box. Of all collectors I know they would never do this. Next. If he was gonna open it. If he is a collector to sell for money he would look up the items that could be pulled to decide if opening it would be worth while. So he would know what cards to hit. Sorry bro I don't believe you. Just too many holes in your story.

Oh yea. You can also show a photo of the boxes he has left. (With a note of your name and date next to them) Might make you seem more creditable but I'm sure there is another reason that can't happen.

We had a former member claim she got married and then drafted zendikar (OG zendikar) and she pulled all the good cards. This was last year. So pictures are best and unbelievable stories are unbelievable without proof via video or pictures

Well if you chose not to believe me, that's fine; I'm not losing sleep over it. I obviously wanted to randomly post this in this section (and use up my time) to troll everyone here (note the sarcasm).

No he hasn't sold them yet (to my knowledge)...so I will see if I can get a picture of those cards and the boxes he has remaining.

I couldn't tell you why he decided to open a box...he knows about Goyf being pricey but outside of that, not too much. His son and I both told him that he shouldn't open anymore because the chances of pulling what he did were not very likely at all.

Here are the pictures that you wanted...he bought the Modern Masters case when he ordered the MM2 cases...theres still another case of MM2 below the picture that is shown. And if that isnt enough, then I dont know what to do in a situation like this. If you believe me, cool; if you dont believe me, cool...my feelings arent hurt either way

A buddy and I went to GP Vegas last year. We did alright in some side events and decided to spend or tickets on packs of MM2015. 32 of them to be exact.

We go back to the hotel. Split them evenly to open. We both reach our last pack and.... Boom double foil rares in both packs!

Pack 1: Foil Bob with Foil Spellskite
Pack 2: Foil Wilt-Leaf Liege with Foil Noble Hierach

Great way to end an awesome trip.
