I always wondered what the top ten mtg cards were, than I found the nine, and thought, well, that answers my question. Almost.
{Treasure Cruise}. Banned to the same extent. Except you know, {Ancestral Recall} is better.

{Treasure Cruise}.
Useless without {island}

{time vault}. Doesn't need island. Just an untap engine

Well then it's useless as the best card. Best card needs no other card. 😛😛😛
Did we forget about {Library of Alexandria} or {Bazaar of Baghdad}? Both pretty powerful I must say...
I believe {Contract from Below} is awesome in almost every situation.

An old rule, since discontinued, that said after all mulligans were taken, you'd add the top card to your ante. Some old cards can interact with this zone. The winner of the game would receive all cards in the ante.

I forgot about this one!
{Dig Through Time} Or {Demonic Attorney}
One is an amazing filter
The other says: quit the game now or put another random card on the line to keep playing
Ante cards in a cube, and play with ante. Could be fun..

Back in High School (4th ed thru Urza's) my group played with fake ante. It was fun, and made things interesting when a key card was flipped as the ante, and thereby unusable for the game. Like in a 3way I flipped my {mox jet} flipped his {Gaia's cradle} and another flipped a random junk

Sound nice as well.
The fun thing about ante in a cube draft would be that you build your deck, then it keeps changing due to ante. Defaulting to archetypes and relying on key rares would be impossible, so you gotta look at the whole picture. Truest in deck building challenge I think.
Why why why has no one said sol ring

Not even close. Fastbond needs lands, sol ring doesn't. Sol ring counts for academy and what not.

It seems I'm having a hard time seeing cards on their own...
That said:
{proposal}. Play, you win.
I believe {Yawgmoth's will} and {brainstorm} have long been considered in direct competition with each other for the 10th most powerful card.
Ariel Responder is the card of the year!!!!!!!😉
No but seriously I really like that card

Ok you really need to stop necro posting
{Necropotence}, I'm afraid.
I think jace memory adept is very powerful considering if you have any counter spells in your deck you can destroy any opponent without ever taking life.
